Voice in Headphones

One of the biggest discoveries of the year. On the blog, we mainly want to focus on acoustic music built around instruments such as acoustic guitar, banjo, piano, mandolin, harmonium… you name it. That said, I can’t deny my deep weakness for subtle electronics – and Radio Player is the perfect example of why. When the acoustic guitar comes in about halfway through the track, it creates a truly beautiful combination.

But this song has everything: a gorgeous melody, real emotion, and top-notch production. Josaleigh Pollett is a musician from Salt Lake City, Utah – a place where I personally spent some time, which perhaps makes my connection to this music even warmer. I sincerely hope this is a single from an upcoming album we might get next year, because this music genuinely deserves attention. The current 5-6 thousand streams on Spotify feel wildly underestimated!
