Beauty lies in simplicity. It’s Gonna Be Alright is a little over two minutes long and comes from the slowcore project someone left a note. On first listen, my mind immediately drifted to cities like Philadelphia, New York, or maybe Seattle – yet the project actually belongs to a young German musician, Nick Bories (born in 2006).

This year alone, he has released more than thirty songs, making it nearly impossible to single out just one. His entire output this year is genuinely compelling (personal favorites also include it’s hard to live and i still feel the pain). Still, the November release It’s Gonna Be Alright stands out with a slightly more upbeat, energetic feel – perhaps that’s why it has lingered with me the most.

The track carries everything that defines Bories’ work: a beautiful, warm slowcore lo-fi atmosphere and a subtle yet emotionally resonant vocal delivery. I’m genuinely curious to see what Bories will bring in 2026!
